The School follows the curriculum and syllabus of Tamil Nadu unified common syllabus. Hindi is taught as the third language.
2. SLIP TEST
Slip tests are conducted every day. There shall be no re-test, in case of absence. It is part of the Formative Assessment Test of C.C.E.
The school library is well – equipped with books on Education, Fiction, Travel and General Knowledge. Maps, Charts and Models are also available as aids for teaching to help the pupils to develop a strong reading habit and for keeping good books within their reach. Pupils are encouraged to donate books to the library on their birthday and other important occasion. A separate theater room is available for O.H.P. and slide shows.
4. H.C.L. DIGI SCHOOL LEARNING
Today children are exposed to various multimedia, Cartoon and other types of electronic devices including the video games etc. Seeing is learning, watching and participating via electronic media makes teaching and learning process not only interesting but also relevant.
It saves lung energy for teaching and makes the classroom a global platform for the child. Our school has smart digit boards (HCL) for this purpose. There are interactive boards in almost each and every classroom. The interest shown by our management makes the campus energetic enough to be fit for the 21st Century.
5. iDiscoveri XSEED: Foundation for Life
We are a part of iDiscoveri’s XSEED Education programmer. This unique, silent revolution in the system was introduced by our management in 2011. iDiscoveri is an innovative education group used for learning and for leadership qualities. Its flagship programmer XSEED is a complete school solution, building clear concepts, having good fluency in English and Superior outcomes. XSEED has been designed by the education
Experts from Harvard, Cambridge, IIM and IIT. It has been built along the recommendations of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
Though we follow the common syllabus, Govt. books help us to maintain the needed global standards. XSEED trains each and every teacher to follow them all through the year. Through XSEED children learn, best by action followed by refection and feedback. Aim, Activity, Analysis, Application and Assess are the five steps a child takes on each and every concept for which XSEED provides teacher manuals and worksheets. Through XSEED Learn meter tests our parents knows the position of their wards – on a national scale became we are the only one of all the 700 schools following this system nationwide. It helps us to deal with each child individually.
This programmer is followed in our campus from Class L.Kg. to Class V.
6. PARENT – TEACHERS MEETING
a) To keep a very good rapport between parent and teachers, and for the betterment of the child, we conduct P.T. meeting periodically.
b) Parents are requested to attend the meeting and give their suggestions in writing during the P.T. meetings.
7. FIRST AID
The first-aid selection is well-equipped to meet any emergency requirement.
8. PHYSICAL EDUCATION
“A Sound mind in a sound body” is a common saying. We put this proverb into practice by sports and games activities. We provide facilities of outdoor and indoor games to encourage healthy sportsman character, building sound body and healthy competitive spirit among students.
9. COMPUTER EDUCATION
Computer Education is an integral part of the school curriculum. Computer labs are well equipped with many computers.
10. FIELD AND EDUCATIONAL VISIT
Children learn many things from the neighbourhood community resources. This includes people, places and things found in the community which can facilitate learning. For this child should have real life experience.
11. VALUE EDUCATION
Stress is being laid on value education to inculcate moral values and Indian heritage among the students. It is developed through reciting moral stories, and slokas, practicing yoga and celebrating the birth anniversaries of Saints, Scholars and Great leaders.
12. MEDICAL CHECK – UP
Annual medical check-up is done by a team of medical experts. Immunization camps are arranged periodically. Parents shall be informed of the health in case of any special attention is needed for the child.
To inculcate high sense of National Integrity and universal brotherhood, each working day in the school starts with morning assembly including school prayer, devotional and patriotic songs. Stress is also laid on the moral development of the students. News reading, reciting poems with full actions, moral teaching and singing songs in Chorus are the remarkable features of morning assembly ad it ends with Quiz or by Extempore.
Note: Dispersal of the morning assembly will be either with National song or National Anthem.
